It is all made there fresh. It could be a little bit more spicy but no fillers.
They did before. Not sure since they reopened.
They are making repairs to the inside.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who digs Spanish cuisine. The staff is friendly and lively and the food is amazing. My daughters and I love going there, even if it's just for take out. It's the only Mexican restaurant in LaPorte I go to anymore.
Nicest people ive ever met, great food.
The food is not really the best Mexican food I've had. The food is not good but the hospitality is good.
Some of the best Mexican food in town.
The ranch was yellow,& the pepsi tasted like it was old or going out. I was afraid to order food so we just left.
Lousy everything was over cooked and burnt that was all you could taste
The owner is the sweetest man ever!❤ Im very impressed with this place!
From the first moment you arrive in that restaurant the personel give you a nice feeling. Very warm stuff, it is a nice place to go out with friends or with your date. Excellent meals, creative chef, comfortable cost and generous service. Warmly recommended.
I’m so incredibly sad and almost hesitant to post this review. Me and my friends came here several years ago and it was so good, but I guess they have decreased in standards through the years. We walked in and were the only people during lunch hour, the restroom had a communal towel (which is very hinky), the chicken was diced and tasted so cheap, the steak had an awful awful aftertaste. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of one is because the 2 people working were so kind and considerate. The food was just terrible.
The food is wonderful as always!
No steak. El pastor very good
Delicious home made authentic food!
Everything I ate was delicious. The salsa chips are the only thing I would change.
Good is fantastic. Atmosphere is warm and gracious. Love this place.
Best Mexican food in Laporte 100%
I just ate here with my buddies and I would have to say this place is disgusting down to the salsa even the soda tasted old , I ordered the mamas special and the chicken looked like it was out of the can the broth was okay the veggies were old, we stood and tried to enjoy what we can and after all that we had to call the restaurant number I ordered to get the guys attention, and to top it off we were over charged!!!!! Worst place ever I don’t even right reviews but I had to do it to this place !!!! Don’t waste your time and money go else where I could have made better authentic Mexican food myself
Fantastic people and food
I have been going to Colima regularly for about 18 years. The food is authentic and fresh, and the service is always friendly and prompt. The best part of any visit to Colima is the salsa, which is consistently the best that I have had anywhere.
Great place..lots of food for price. Owner, great guy
This family run Mexican restaurant is the best in laporte in my opinion. Love the food, chips and salsa and friendly service you get here. I've been there so much I don't even have to order anymore they just bring me what I always order. Colima is awesome!
Their food is so authentic and good. The people that work there are nice too.
Great authentic Mexican food. Family owned and operated. Always friendly and the foos ia spectacular!
I recently had dinner here for the first time. I was absolutely taken by the owners attention to detail. Remembering favorite plates of my dinner companion and even remembered that Jessy doesnt like ice in her soft drink. The food was absolutely delicious. I was surprised also at the prices being very reasonable. Especially in the face of things lately. I'll be back Jose. A beautiful place and very cozy to escape to.
The best Steak tacos ,this side of the border.
Great homemade food, made to order. Joe, the owner (?) made us feel very welcome and catered to our sometimes strange requests. We don't eat carbs, I know, I could live on rice and beans with chips but they aren't on the menu for me anymore for health reasons. Joe graciously chopped up a platter of veggies at our request to serve as substitute chips. I would not hesitate to go back whenever I'm in the area.
Best Mexican food in the area
The owner Jose tries but you need to try fresh food. Also I think the food should be made to order not frozen and microwaved
The best LaPorte County has to offer in Mexican food, atmosphere, quality and friendliness! Love It
Wonderful lunch. So much food.
Good food but the service here has gone to hell. This is the second time in a couple of months that my wife and I have been ignored for over 20 minutes without even a drink order being taken.. We will take our business to El Bracero from now on.
Ate there and had fajitas. Bill came and I paid it, the price seemed fair as I was charged $26 for two meals that were sub-par. The following week I was there celebrating with friends n family. The owner had the gaul to interrupt our celebration and ask to meet with me. His server had incorrectly added up the bill on my previous visit and wanted me to pay $6 for her clerical error. I paid it, and went back to my party. Our checks came and 2 out of the 4 bills were incorrect. They added items on the bill we did not receive, a quesidia n guacamole. I asked to meet with the owner and showed him the errors. He did not talk to the server to correct the mistake nor apologize. I suggest you go to Mucho Mas or Elbracero where your food is correct and fresh! At Colima your steak tacos are grisly, the rice was so dry you have to drench it in salsa to choke it down and your server is too busy up at the counter visiting with her friends. Will never go there again.
Excellent food! Very authentic and great service. I had a chicken chimichanga and it was excellent! Probably the best I have ever had! Highly recommend this place!
The food was amazing! Staff very nice!
Great food and service
The food is the best. If you won't Mexican style food. It is just like home made food .
After eating i understand why there was no one in the restaurant at 5 pm on a friday night. They didnt have 2 different things i asked for from the menu. We ordered guacamole and queso dip. We never got the cheese and the guacamole tasted like it was in the process of going bad. Food was ok at best. My wifes Chicken and steak fajitas looked like a pile of mush no flavor and had no chicken. We used to love this place but i think we have been here for the last time.
In all fairness, it was 1 guy doing 4 jobs at the same tme.
I have to say the service was absolutely amazing. There was only one guy there and he did his absolute best to cook and everything. I will never eat the food that comes out of this restaurant ever again. The food was not good, I had a wet burrito and there was literally water with a weird taste all over the plate. The people I was with got a few different items and at the end of the meal we agreed we would not be returning. The meal did not set well on my stomach and I did not feel the greatest until the following day. I have been there twice in the last few weeks and both times the food was okay at best... I don't like to give local businesses bad reviews however I feel this one warrants one. I do not recommend going here with people that might need tables as most of their seating is booths.
If only had been able to get a tamales, it would have been a five star dining.
Best Mexican food in Laporte area
It's fine. Decent food for a fair price. On the other hand, it doesn't really stand out. Perhaps there are hidden gems on the menu.
Heard so many great things about this place but we were so disappointed. The staff interactions were only okay. Watched our waiter speak to another table in perfect English but tried to pretend he didn't understand us when we had questions. Food was super spicy even after we asked., "oh no no it not spicy. " Then got mad because I sent it back.
Service and food outstanding!!!
The place is nice enough, staff is okay. The food is so very bland. I get that Mexicans don't think gueros like any spice or flavor, but their food lacks any kind of taste.
Service was super, but the food need to improve, the good thing; the guy is a good listener and he's worried about the reviews, telling me he will be better at the next time, I told him I'll be there within a 2 months .
The owner was very nice & very excited to help us. Good food very well priced. Definitely some where to Check out. Just allow yourself extra time. It seams to be a 1 man show. But i will go back again.
Good smothered burritos
Good food love this place
